Questions, answered.
Answers about reservations, privacy, access, amenities, and the Xanadu guest experience.
When is Xanadu opening?
Xanadu is coming to Humboldt County, California in 2027.
Where will Xanadu be located?
Xanadu will be located in Humboldt County. The exact guest location will be announced before opening.
Will reservations be online?
Yes. Reservations, prepayment, and digital waivers are handled online before arrival, with booking available months in advance.
Will there be a front desk?
No. The guest journey uses one-time access, private changing suites, and direct entry into the reserved retreat.
Are the retreats private?
Yes. Each Water Garden Tub, Earth Garden Tub, or Fire Garden Sauna is reserved for one party at a time. Alternating changing suites and staggered timing are designed so arriving and departing parties do not cross paths.
How long is a session?
A private session is one hour. Need more time? Book two sessions in a row. Start in the Fire Garden Sauna and finish in a hot tub, stay longer in one retreat, or build your own sequence.
Will there be showers and changing rooms?
Yes. Each retreat is designed around private changing/shower/toilet suites rather than shared locker rooms.
Is Xanadu accessible?
Yes. The larger Earth Garden Tub includes accessible circulation and accessible water entry, and accessible guest facilities are built into the overall layout.
What should I bring?
Come as you are. Fresh towels, cool filtered drinking water, soap, and body wash are ready for you in your private changing suite and shower. Make your reservation, arrive with your access code, and we take care of the rest.
Can I bring food or drinks?
No food is allowed inside the retreats. Hydration is encouraged, and you are welcome to bring non-glass beverages. No glass containers are allowed. Cool filtered drinking water is provided for you.
Does the Fire Garden Sauna include a cold plunge?
Yes. The Fire Garden pairs the private traditional sauna and red light therapy with a cold plunge for hot-and-cold contrast inside the same private retreat.
Can I book now?
Not yet. The Book It Now button currently points guests to the 2027 opening message. Reservation availability will be announced as the opening approaches.
